Jon van Eerd
5th of September, 1960
Van Eerd is a Dutch (voice) actor, singer, writer, and theatreproducer. He was born in Maastricht, Limburg.

Jon grew up in Limburg, but decided to move to Leiden to study English. He later decided to make the switch to Theatrescience, he followed this study at the University of Amsterdam, he gratuated cum laude.
​
Van Eerd played for many theatrecompanies but also played the more lighter genre of cabaret. You could have seen him in various musicals as well such as Mamma Mia, Titanic, La Cage Aux Folles, and the Dutch musical Moeder, ik wil bij de Revue.
Jon also won 5 Johnny Kraaijkamp Musical Awards (Compare this with the Tony Awards or the Olivier Awards). Two for La Cage Aux Folles. One for best lead, and the other for his Dutch translation. One for De Fabeltjeskrant who received the award for best small musical. One for his Dutch script of The Addams Family. The last one again for best male lead in Moeder, ik wil bij de revue.

Also van Eerd wrote various plays of his own such as De Vlooienmars, Een Rits te Ver en Dubbel op.

On television he played in Flodder, Baantjer en Meiden van de Wit. In the popular Dutch television show Wie is de Mol?
Known in other countries as The Mol. Jon was the Mol in 2009. He was played Pontius Pilatus in the 2015 Dutch edition of the Passion.
