Joanne Telesford is a Dutch (musical/dubbing) actrice, and host. She was born in Paramaribo, Surinam.

A real thriple treat, playing in various Dutch versions of musicals. She was Miss Sherman in Fame, Sarabi and the understudy
of Shenzi in the Lion King, Kala in Tarzan, starting as Chaira Borderslee's alternate, and taking over the role in 2008/2009, Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray, Sylvia in Love me Tender, Pearl in Daddy Cool, she was originally cast as Oda Mae in Ghost back in 201o however the show was unfortunately cancelled before it started, she played Winnie Mandela in Amandla! Mandela, and the role of Kandake in Aida. A first since normally the monarch of Numbia is played by a male.

You also could have seen her play various guestroles on television. Such as in Goeden Tijden Slechte Tijden, Onderweg naar Morgen en
het Huis Anubis.

Telesford conducted many gospelchoirs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam en performed with the Supremes, The Three Degrees,
and Jocelyn Brown.
